Hi y'all =) I sure hope this post finds you in GREAT spirits ! I sure didn't realize it's been sooooooo long since I've posted ! I've seemed to have a full plate lately. My Dad was hospitalized overnight a week ago with breathing problems. We're hoping and praying it is not his cancer returning and it was just his emphesyma. He has been in remission for a longggg time now. The Dr suggested doing a new ct scan but he doesn't want to be retested to see and he says he won't do chemo again either. At first I was really upset about his decision but thinking about what he went through before I guess I can see why he doesn't want to do it again but part of me wishes he would change his mind ! Work has been hectic lately too. I worked a 13 hour shift on Tuesday ugghhh and it seems like I can't ever get outta there on time anymore. We did get some news that I believe means we won't be closing in May. They are finally installing a debit/credit machine and considering opening us back up on Mondays. I'm sure thankful for that cause I don't wanna look for a new job and start all over again.....heck I'm not getting any younger here lol........Well enough about all that. I sure have missed bloggin' and readin' all my fav blogs. I'm gonna have ALOTTA' catchin' up to do ! I wanna' share a few pics of an old sewin' machine I found at a estate sale last weekend. Yepp the weather has been sooooo nice out there were yard sales here !!!!! Yipppeeeee I was sooo excited to see the ads in the paper and lucky that it was my Sat. off whew. I'd have probably taken a personal day if it wasn't my day off lol
Here's a few pics of my fav find yet. Ohhh and when I asked the fella' how much it was, I figured he'd shoot off some crazy price but when he said 25 bucks I had to snag it up ! O.k. O.k. now the pics lol...........
I cleaned it up but there is some spots
that won't come off.
Any ideas how to get 'em off
without doing any damage ?
The original attachment case. It's lined in velvet.
And has all the attachments inside it too.
Thought I took an inside pic but
I don't see it in my files...hmmmm
Well shucks I thought I took a pic
of the whole cabinet too...
Guess I didn't or my laptop
is eatin' my pics !!!!!! lol
I also got this barn lantern for
2 bucks from the same sale
And these adorable old baby shoes
for 1 dollar !!!
We also went back up to Martinsville
and hit the inside flea market where
I found this hugeee crock jug
for 16 bucks...which I thought
was a pretty good price....
This is how I have it displayed...
I've got a few more things to share
but I gotta be at work by Noon
today sooo I'll share 'em soon.
I sure missed y'all and hope to
not have such a long absense again !
Till next time my Prim Friends

Hi Sweetie, missed ya:) I will keep your dad in my prayers and hope it's not the "c" word! Love that sewing machine and on the spots, could you go over them with some brown shoe polish or rubbing stain?? What a great price on it and sure sounds like the store will stay open:D Trust me, it really is no fun at our age looking for a new job, I'm not even looking yet, there's nothing out there!!!
Great finds TJ. My brother swears by linseed oil. He puts it on everything. Now I'm not sure it will remove stains or marks but it sure makes the wood look beautiful when rubbed into it. The crock is great. Love how you have it displayed.
Great news about your job. I hope everything works out like you would have it to.
Still praying for your daddy. I know its hard to stay strong but you can do it.
Warm Hugs,
AMY

I love the sewing machine Ethel! lol Was a great find! I wish I had gotten a hold of the one my grandmother had. I remember her teaching me how to use it and I thought it was so much fun.
I've missed you too... We may have to schedule a chat. The forum is going great!
Love ya!

That is a great machine for that price! You did good! Love that crock jug too. I LOVE yard sales too. I can't wait for them to start up around here! Prayers for your father! I hope all goes well for him. They do go through so much with cancer that in a way you can't blame them, but you always want to have the hope that they could get through it. Let's hope and pray that it is something else.
Hugs, Jayne

Sorry to hear about your dad, girl! I don't blame him though for what he went through before. I'll pray for him.
I'll also pray about your work situation. I hope it all works out for you!
The sewing machine is in good shape. I can't believe all the attachments were still in the case, that's crazy!
You got some good finds, I love the way you've displayed them.
You're fortunate to have sales already. We've actually had some nice weather, but I haven't found a single sale yet. =[
