Picture this..............Chances for Xtra Entries For My Mystery Giveaway !!!

It's around 4:00 a.m. in the mornin'. You wake from a deep slumber because you have to go potty......Your in the bathroom with your jammies down and you've just sat down to potty ~ when outta the corner of your eye you see somethin' by the bathtub.......You look and low and behold it's one of those things you are deathly terrified of !!!!!!! It's a .......................... snake !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you do ? Well.........I stood on the potty with my jammies around my ankles and screamed and screamed as I watched the thing slitherin' round the floor.....Now this wasn't an itty bitty one either....It was at
least 2 foot long and how in the world did I walk past that thing when I went in the bathroom was beyond me ! Well I'm still yellin' and cryin' and finally one of the kids wakes up and screams what's wrong and I said helloooooooo Snakeeeeeeeeee Get your Dad !!!!! At this point I've lost track of time, I'm feelin' queasy, shakin' and wishin' my hero would come rescue me FAST !!!!! The snake is slitherin' towards the potty and I'm lettin' out louder yelps lol.......Finally the Hubbs comes in and says What do you want me to do ? Duhhhhhh get the nasty snakeeeeeeeee outta here !!!! So he says with what ? I'm like I don't care what just get it !!!!!! He tells me ~ just jump over it and get outta here......Now girlies let me remind you I'm standing on top of the potty with my jammies down round my ankles and he wants me to jump ???? And what if that thing gets me before I get out the door ???? Well when your in a panic your brain just doesn't think well ! Hubbs calmly says pull your jammies UP and JUMP !!!! It's behind the potty now......So I get my courage up and I pull 'em up and I jump like Michael Jordan doin' a slam dunk !!!!! I ran soooo fast outta' that bathroom and down the hallway I coulda' set a world record I tell ya' ! Hubbs got it out and that wasn't the end of the snakes in the house =0( About 2 weeks later during the day I went to use the rest room....let me back up a sec' I didn't go to the bathroom forever without someone checkin' it first.....Well it had been fine so I decide I'm a big girl I can do this. So I go alone I slowly open the door ~ floor looks clear. I see nothin' behind the potty, o.k. it's good I can go. I lift the potty lid and........................ OH MY GOSH !!!!!!! YEPP There's one IN THE POTTY !!!!! Hubbs is outside I go screamin' for him and he's like NOT AGAIN lol I said yepp IN THE POTTY !!!!! He goes in and it's dead and he get's it out. Then one mornin' I get up and Hubbs is standin' in the hallway lookin' in the laundry room and I said why are you just standin' there like that ? He says You might wanna' go on back to the bedroom.....I say why ? He says there is about a 6 foot black snake in there !!!!!!!!!! Well you don't have to tell me twice !!!! So he gets that one out....Thank God he isn't afraid of 'em ! We'd be outta' luck for sure. This story is leadin somewhere I promise lol......... Now my daughter isn't afraid of 'em either but that snake in the laundry room freaked her out cause it was HUGE ! Well we go to Menards cause I'm sealin' any nook and cranny in this house ! We buy a case of that fill and seal stuff and go to work. Weeks went by and things seemed to be gettin' back to normal. When my oldest son Josh woke up one mornin' he comes and gets his Dad and I see 'em talkin' in hushed tones. I'm wonderin' what's up ? So I ask and they say you don't wanna know. Well I instantly knew ! Yepp more snakes !!!!! And yes it was not one but a nest !
Josh found baby snakes on his bedroom floor. They were copperheads ! A week before that my baby Maggie Moo Moo outta the blue came crawling on her side and she was seizing and within 3 minutes she passed away. I had just had time to grab the phone to call the vet and she was gone. We believe that she was bitten by one of the snakes. We packed up the fur babies and clothing and headed to my cousins house. We stayed there for almost a month. I wouldn't set foot in here till I knew we had fixed EVERYTHING to where they wouldn't get in again. We replaced Josh's floor. We redid part of the roof. Hubbs trimmed limbs away incase they were gettin' in that way. We bought more fill and sill and they filled around anything and everything ! That was last year and a few nights ago I was lookin' up at the vent in our bedroom cause I saw somethin' hangin' there so I go get Hubbs and he says Now DON'T panic it was just a piece of snake skin....DON'T PANIC ?!?!?!?!?!
O.k. sureeee I won't panic lol We are movin' the bed cause the vent is on my side !!!! Sooooo as much as I'm ready for spring I'm dreadin' it too ! Hoping everything we did last year fixed it where there won't be anymore surprises ! I don't think my lil ol' heart could take another summer like that ! I have a terrible phobia of snakes. I can't see 'em on t.v. I can't see pics of 'em they just petrify me.....
Now that whole story was leadin to this.........

Well, they say Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland and now I know I'm glad I live here coz I hate snakes too - ever since as a kid I saw a rattlesnake being put into one of Charlie's Angel's bed!
Thanks for the mention and just to let you know I mailed your goodies to you today! Hope you get them soon!

Oh my word! I would have been out of the house so fast, it would have made everyone's head spin!!!
I am afraid of them too, my Mom
was bit by a Copperhead when she
was young. You made it so funny,
but having them in the house in no
laughing matter! When I come North,
I will meet you at a restaurant!!!!
I watched a show on snakes the other night; they were
hunting one they thought could be 150' long!!! Now, that would make ya pee your pants! Have a great day, you lucky winner!

Oh my word. I'm afraid I would have to move!!!!! I do not like mice, snakes, birds or frogs. I feel sick for you.
I do have to admit, I did chuckle thinking about you standing on the pot with your jammies bunched around your feet screaming for someone, anyone to come rescue you. I can only imagine what your child thought when they saw you. I promise I am laughing with you and not at you.
I do hope your snake problems are gone and they never come back.
Saying an extra special prayer for you!
Hugs, AMY
I will email my words to you now. Thanks for making this giveaway so fun!

OMG!!!!!....that was definately the summer from hell!! We had a summer like that one year too (well not with the death of a pet, how horrible) only with wasps which I am deathly afraid of! They kept coming in the house somehow and we finally figured out that it was through the fireplace from underneath the house in through a small hole! I'm not looking forward to spring at all!!

ok... that would scare the crap out of me for sure. When we first moved to the farm Wendell was in the bathroom one afternoon and I hear him call me... I go in and he just points down to the register in the floor. I look down and there is the biggest black snake I have ever seen down there. I was scared to death to use the potty for fear one would climb up through the toilet and get me!

We weren't here a month when we found the copperhead on the front porch. Now the one thing we find a lot of that I absolutely hate are the cave crickets!!! They jump! I am getting goosebumps just thinking about those ugly, spider-like demons...

will be sending you my words. Will have to go back and look at the picture. It would not load up for me the other day.

Oh TJ, your poor pet must have been bitten by one, that's heart breaking. I am not afraid of snakes, don't like any that are poisonous, but the black ones don't bother me. Don' want them in my house though. As I read your story I kept thinking, how in the world did she get snakes in her house in the winter, then I realized you were talking about last summer. My sweetie has killed several copperheads around our house and I have tracked a black snake that lived in my flower garden for a while. One day he mossied off and ended up smashed in the road, just down from our drive way. He should have stayed in my garden.

Don't know what I would do if I saw a snake in the house. I'm rather a calm, level headed gal so I would probably get the shovel, scoop it up and throw it outside. If it's a copperhead, "off with its head". Hope your house is all sealed up and snake free this year.

Oh, I meant to tell you, someone told us to put moth balls around our house. We did this last year and didn't see one snake around the house, not in the wood pile either. We are going to do that again this year.

The whole thing sounds like something out of a horror film!!
EEEeeek!! Im still spooked by it.
I seriously dont know how you did it. Im not sure I could.
I will definitly be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that this Spring/Summer is better. And that those snakes are no where around!!!

I CAN REMEMBER ONCE WHEN I WAS A KID, GETTING UP VERY EARLY ONE MORNING TO POTTY AND FINDING/SEEING A BLACK SNAKE SLITHER FROM BEHIND THE TOILEY. I, LIKE YOU, WAS TOTALLY FREAKED OUT. MY DAD CAME AND GOT IT BUT MY MOM COULD HAVE. SHE WAS RAISED ON A FARM AND THOSE WOMEN WERE NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING. THERE WERE 6 GIRLS AND 2 BOYS AND THERE WASN'T TIME FOR SUCH SILLINESS AS FEAR.
I HOPE THINGS ARE BETTER FOR YOU THIS SUMMER BUT KEEP WATCHING THE VENTS. SNAKES WILL COME IN ANY HOLE EVEN IF IT IS AN UNUSED CHIMNEY. I REMEMBER A FRIEND OF MINE TELLING ME ABOUT BRUSHING HIS TEETH ONE MORNING AND LIFTING HIS FACE TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND A BLACK SNAKE WAS HANGING FOR A HOLE IN THE CEILING AND DRINKING FROM THE TAP! HE WAS A GROWN MAN AND THAT FREAKED HIM OUT. WOW! I HADN'T THOUGHT OF EITHER OF THOSE STORIES IN A VERY LONG TIME. SNAKES LEAVE DRY SKIN AROUND WHEN THEY OUTGROW IT. THEY JUST SLITHER RIGHT OUT OF THE OLD. GOOD THING THOUGH, THEY ARE PROBABLY KEEPING YOUR HOME RODENT FREE.

I dislike snakes! Yuck! They are disgusting creatures slithering around on their bellies! ARGH!

We have snakes also and even Rattle snakes and I HATE snakes...but I am moving..I even took a bath one night with a frog and since I used Bubble bath I couldn;t see him in the tub ...he died..hot water killed him.
I am very afraid my dogs are going to get killed by a snake and I am already starting to look for another town that isn't rural and on the red dirt road and with some stores and maybe even some Northern transplants and other crafters.
I would be GONE if I found a snake in my bathroom..Hubby did see one in the laundry room and it went under the dryer..I no longer go in the laundry room.
Nice that you won a giftie..I just won a $50.00 grocery card a week ago WOO HOO

I'm all for snakes -- OUTSIDE, far away, never seen...but in the house??? How horrible! I hope no more come in, but the snake skin hanging down does not sound like it is a good sign...they lose those skins as they get bigger...ugh...

Gosh, your bingo game sure looks like fun!
